ORGANIZER & COACH

Maja Šaša, originally from Croatia, brings over a decade of coaching experience across the U.S. and Europe. She holds a degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education from the University of Zagreb and furthered her studies in the U.S., where she captained the Eastern Arizona College tennis team to multiple conference victories and national semifinals. Maja also competed in Germany’s Bezirk League and consistently ranked in the top 10 in her age group in Croatia.

A certified coach through the Croatian Tennis Association and RSPA (formerly USPTA), Maja has worked with top ITF and Tennis Europe Development officers, helping players elevate their technical and tactical abilities. Currently, she serves as the Head Tennis Professional at the Whippoorwill Club in New York.

ORGANIZER & GUIDE

Stjepan Stapar was raised in the beautiful Istrian town of Rovinj, where he developed a passion for tourism and the sea. He graduated from the Faculty of Logistics and Management at the Maritime Faculty in Rijeka and has been successfully building his career in the tourism industry for over 20 years.

His extensive experience includes working in luxury 5-star hotels for five years, after which he specialized in nautical tourism, spending two years in an agency focused on yachts and organizing private boat trips. For the past eight years, he has been running his own agency for boat rentals and organizing sea excursions in Istria, providing guests with unforgettable experiences on the Adriatic.

With his knowledge, passion, and local expertise, Stjepan is the perfect guide for anyone looking to experience the Istrian way of life and the beauty of Rovinj firsthand.
